Claire E. Burns        
     Claire E. Burns began her elementary school-teaching career in 1956 and retired in 1993. Claire taught all elementary grades from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8, having most of her teaching years with primary students. While teaching the Junior Kindergarten program to four-year-olds, Claire had the privilege of introducing each of her two grandchildren to their first experience in school.
    
     Claire’s professional qualifications:
          1. A Province of Ontario Teaching Certificate to teach French students
          2. A Province of Ontario Teaching Certificate to teach English students
          3. A Province of Ontario Teaching Certificate to teach French to English students

Austin V. Burns
     Austin V. Burns has a Bachelor of Arts degree. Until his retirement in 1992, Austin worked in heavy industry doing various maintenance jobs; for most of his career, he repaired mobile mechanical equipment.
